About Keystone RV

Since 1996, Keystone RV Company has quickly risen to become an industry leader in innovation and quality. Keystone was created by a group of owner/managers who left key positions at major corporations in the recreational vehicle industry, bringing together experience and innovation. Our quality oriented work ethic and our attention to detail have made us the fastest growing RV company in the United States, with over 600 dealers and seven manufacturing plants nationwide. Of course, creating excellent recreational vehicles is our highest objective. But at Keystone, we believe that there are many more ingredients to quality. Product excellence is where we begin.

Another big part of the quality incentive at Keystone involves showing concern and respect for our customers, our dealers, our suppliers, and each other. Keystone has built an impressive reputation with our dealers and their customers. At Keystone, special attention is paid to the many details which matter so much to RVers. We believe that these details, so often overlooked by our competition, are what continually wins our customers loyalty and admiration. Our employees are as proud of their teamwork as they are of our product. Our owner/manager team works to set the example. We believe we have developed a company culture where people come first.

We sell a lot of Keystone RVs. In fact, we are the #1 volume dealer in North America. What does that mean to you? We sell Show Priced, quality RVs, and that quality flows down from the manufacturer to you. We believe in Keystone RVs, and are proud to offer them to our customers.

Keystone RV, The Best Vacation Value

Keystone RV is the largest manufacturer of towable recreational vehicles in the world. With an RV to fit every budget, Keystone provides the easiest and most economical way to truly enjoy retirement or just take a fun family vacation.

As the baby boomers retire, Keystone RV’s has seen an upsurge in sales. There is nothing that measures up to the flexibility and independence for most people than enjoying the open road in a Keystone Recreational Vehicle (RV). What you save on hotel costs alone will often pay for the cost of your RV and there is a lot to be said for being able to take your hotel room with you wherever you go.

This type of travel gives RV owners significant cost savings. You can save an enormous amount of money by dining in your RV compared to eating in restaurants every day and there are no hotel rooms to book. When you are parked, you can unhook your truck or SUV from your fifth wheel or travel trailer which saves you from having to find a car to rent. For those in motor homes, many travelers will tow a vehicle behind them.

When considering the purchase of a Keystone RV, you will be faced with three choices;

  1. a fifth wheel which is pulled by a pick up truck and attaches to a hitch inside the truck box,
  2. a travel trailer which is usually pulled by a truck with a rear hitch,
  3. or a toy hauler which allows you to take extra toys along such as ATV’s or even motorcycles.

All three types of RV’s have their pros and cons and each point will need to be considered based upon your needs and your budget. One of the considerations you must take into account in the RV lifestyle is the price of gas. It is still more economical, however, than eating in restaurants or staying in hotels every night.

Traveling in a Keystone RV is often a good choice for those who want to travel to different locations; however, it may be less suited to those who visit the same location year after year.

The easy care lifestyle and the freedom of the open road is what many RV owners love the most. It is a great adventure stopping at various parks along the way as you travel across the country. You can stay day or as long as you want at a particular location.

The fact that Walmart provides free camping on their parking lots is well known in the RV community. In most states, you are allowed to camp in a Walmart’s parking lot for as long as you like. I am sure you have seen Keystone RV’s lined up in Walmart’s parking lot at least on one occasion. Both Walmart and the traveler wins in this situation. The traveler has a well-lit place to camp for the night, at no cost, and Walmart receives income from those RV owners who frequent the store. Recently however, there has been an uproar by some campground owners against Walmart’s free camping policy. However, before you decide to stay a week or more at Walmart, you might want to check with the local Chamber of Commerce first.

Why You Should Own An RV

Do you know of someone who owns a RV? Then you have seen how much fun and excitement RV owners have right? There are so many different reasons why RVs are increasing in popularity these days. One of the many reasons why RVs are so popular is because they of everything that they can do for you.

One of the many things that a RV can do for you is save you money when you travel. Not only do you have your own mode of transportation when you travel in an RV but you also have you own overnight accommodations. You do not have to worry about finding a hotel or paying for one when you travel in an RV.

In keeping with the traveling that you can do with a RV, there are many RV owners who choose to use their RVs when they go to visit long distance relatives. There are also RV owners who use their RVs for cross-country adventures. Families really enjoy adventures like these during the summer and retirees enjoy them as well. As mentioned above, traveling in your RV is nice because you don’t have to worry about finding or paying for a place to stay overnight.

Owning a RV can also gives you a fun and exciting adventure, namely when camping. You will like what owning an RV can do for you if you like camping but hate sleeping in a tent on the ground. RVs give you many of the comforts of home while still allowing you to go camping in the wilderness.

In addition to allowing you to have fun, a RV can help you with living arrangements. If you would like to sell your home and just travel around the country, a RV can allow you to do so. Also, if you are planning on remodeling your home or building a new home, you may want to think about using your RV, if you buy one, to give you a temporary living space. In this aspect, owning a RV can save you money. If you didn’t have a home to live in, even for a short period of time, there is a good chance that you and your family would need to stay at and pay for a hotel. You won’t have to do that with an RV.

In short, owning a RV gives you freedom. When you own a RV, you can literally do just about whatever you want, like go traveling or go camping, often at the drop of a hat. If you regularly keep your RV, should you buy one, stocked with supplies, like clothes, bedding, and some non-perishable foods, you can, literally, take off and go, whenever you have free time. No other means of transportation allows you to do this.

If you would like to buy a RV, you will need to find a place to make your purchase from. Your local RV dealership will have a large selection of new and used RVs so you might want to stop by and look at a few.

The Freedom of Traveling In a Keystone RV

One of the great joys of my childhood was camping with my family. We would go all over the country and have so much fun and build so many great family memories that my brothers and I still talk about today.

The hardest part of camping however was the set up and teardown. We camped in tents and cooked over open fires. It was hard work at times, especially during bad weather. But it was always fun.

Then one day my dad bought a tent trailer and we were in hog heaven. It was so much easier to go on a trip, but it was still a lot of work setting up and tearing down. After two or three years, we then got a travel trailer and it changed our camping lives.

We kept the RV loaded with supplies and all our gear and we were able to go camping over a weekend at a moments notice. Pulling into the campground all we had to do was put the stabilizer jacks down and we were set up. We had a real stove to cook with, a refrigerator to keep our food cold and an air conditioner. Growing up in the Texas, having A/C was the greatest thing about our travel trailer.

We would travel from Big Bend to Yellowstone, from Corpus Christi to Orlando, stop when we wanted and go where we pleased. Eventually after my parents retired, they sold their house bought a Class A Motor Home and went full-time. I envied the freedom they had so much.

I don’t have that type of freedom as of yet, but I have owned several RVs; from a pop-up to a Keystone 5th wheel. My family and I now have the freedom to travel wherever we want and do whatever we please as well. Now that we have grandkids to take along, it is even more fun.

Not everyone will retire to full-time RVing, but it couldn’t hurt. The freedom that owning a Keystone RV provides is like nothing else I can think of. We go on great vacations, are able to see the sights of this great country and take all the comforts of home with us. Even with the price of fuel today, we still spend less money than if we were to fly or stay in hotels. All while sleeping in our own beds. It doesn’t get any better than that.

If you want to create some great family memories, bring you family together like nothing else is able to do and do it on a budget, then you need to experience the freedom of owning your own Keystone RV. Find a good Keystone RV Dealer in your area, look at the amenities they offer and buy one. I promise you will love it.

Keystone has an RV for every budget – from simple travel trailers you can pull with a mini-van to luxury fifth wheels. They will save you money both now and later. You and your family will love the freedom of traveling and camping and you will build family memories your kids will still be talking about 30 years from now.

What is a Toy Hauler?

The last several years have brought about a revolution in the RV industry. Many RV owners in the past have always wanted to take motorcycles, scooters or ATVs with them on their camping trips. However, they had to add an additional hitch on the back of their camper to pull a trailer for their “toys” along with gas and tools and everything else that goes with that. Pulling a third trailer is dangerous to say the least.

Several years ago, many RV manufacturers began making travel trailers and 5th wheel trailers with a built-in garage area in the back of RVs just to enable RV owners to take along their motorized toys when they hit the outdoors. These are called “toy haulers“.

Toy haulers come in almost every size; from a small 23-ft camper, to a 40-ft, totally decked-out 5th wheel that has all the comforts of home. Some include king size beds, full bathrooms with garden tubs, a full kitchen with solid surface countertops, microwave ovens and big flat screen satellite TVs.

Toy haulers have a fold down ramp for loading and unloading your toys and equipment. Being lined with diamond plate and tie downs, they are extremely sturdy and well-built. These RVs are designed to haul a lot of stuff and to get you where you want to go. Most will have a place for a built-in optional generator so you won’t even need any hook-ups as they are completely self-contained.

When you are finished your outdoor activities, you will be able to relax on the inside in air-conditioned comfort as you watch for favorite show, cook a great meal and sleep in total comfort. You have all the comforts of home while living all the excitement of your outdoor adventures.

Toy haulers are comparably priced with other types of RVs. When buying a toy hauler it all depends on what toys you want to take long and where you want to go and how much you want to spend. There are new and used toy haulers that will fit every budget.  You will need at least a ¾ ton truck to pull most toy haulers safely as they are heavier than most RVs because of the extra construction needed for sturdiness.

Toy haulers provide RV owners with many more options for fun and adventure exploring the great outdoors as they travel this great land of ours. Find a local RV dealer in your area, ask them questions, look at some of the models available. You will be impressed.

3 Reasons Keystone Outback is the Best

There are a lot of travel trailers on the market today and they all have good features. However, according to RVIA, the Keystone Outback is the #1 mid priced selling travel trailer in the country. This article will give you three reasons why that is.

  1. Towability. With 1 ½” box welded aluminum frame and a fully laminated fiberglass sidewall, The Outback by Keystone is the lite-weight giant of the RV industry. The construction features combined with the one piece enclosed and heated under-belly means that Outback is the most aerodynamic RV on the road. This translates into the fact that even the largest Outback Travel Trailer can be towed safely by your standard half ton pickup or full size SUV. The Keystone Outback is truly the easiest towing travel trailer in the country.
  2. Interior. There is not another travel trailer in this class that offers the luxury of LCD TVs, real wood cabinets, flush floor slide-outs and optional King Sized Beds. Every Outback is equipped with a full kitchen and so much storage you will never run out of room. Even the sofa sleeper is a full-sized air mattress so your guest will not have to sleep with that support bar in their back. Combined with the u-shaped dinette, Outback provides much more comfort and living space than all other trailers in its class. The Keystone Outback is the most livable lite weight RV you can own. It’s just that simple.
  3. Affordability. To be honest, there are cheaper trailers out there. However, none of those other trailers have the features of the Keystone Outback. Other manufacturers save money by scrimping on the construction and interior luxuries and claim to be just as good as the Outback. The fact is pound for pound and dollar for dollar, they just cannot compete. When you compare apples to apples in terms of construction, aerodynamics and interior luxuries, there is no other travel trailer on the road that you can pull with a half ton vehicle that offers the amenities of the Outback. It is truly an affordable, lite-weight travel trailer for every family and budget. But don’t just take my word for it, stop your local Keystone Outback RV Dealer and see for yourself why the Outback is number one and will stay there for many years to come.
