Keystone RV is the largest manufacturer of towable recreational vehicles in the world. With an RV to fit every budget, Keystone provides the easiest and most economical way to truly enjoy retirement or just take a fun family vacation.
As the baby boomers retire, Keystone RV’s has seen an upsurge in sales. There is nothing that measures up to the flexibility and independence for most people than enjoying the open road in a Keystone Recreational Vehicle (RV). What you save on hotel costs alone will often pay for the cost of your RV and there is a lot to be said for being able to take your hotel room with you wherever you go.
This type of travel gives RV owners significant cost savings. You can save an enormous amount of money by dining in your RV compared to eating in restaurants every day and there are no hotel rooms to book. When you are parked, you can unhook your truck or SUV from your fifth wheel or travel trailer which saves you from having to find a car to rent. For those in motor homes, many travelers will tow a vehicle behind them.
When considering the purchase of a Keystone RV, you will be faced with three choices;
- a fifth wheel which is pulled by a pick up truck and attaches to a hitch inside the truck box,
- a travel trailer which is usually pulled by a truck with a rear hitch,
- or a toy hauler which allows you to take extra toys along such as ATV’s or even motorcycles.
All three types of RV’s have their pros and cons and each point will need to be considered based upon your needs and your budget. One of the considerations you must take into account in the RV lifestyle is the price of gas. It is still more economical, however, than eating in restaurants or staying in hotels every night.
Traveling in a Keystone RV is often a good choice for those who want to travel to different locations; however, it may be less suited to those who visit the same location year after year.
The easy care lifestyle and the freedom of the open road is what many RV owners love the most. It is a great adventure stopping at various parks along the way as you travel across the country. You can stay day or as long as you want at a particular location.
The fact that Walmart provides free camping on their parking lots is well known in the RV community. In most states, you are allowed to camp in a Walmart’s parking lot for as long as you like. I am sure you have seen Keystone RV’s lined up in Walmart’s parking lot at least on one occasion. Both Walmart and the traveler wins in this situation. The traveler has a well-lit place to camp for the night, at no cost, and Walmart receives income from those RV owners who frequent the store. Recently however, there has been an uproar by some campground owners against Walmart’s free camping policy. However, before you decide to stay a week or more at Walmart, you might want to check with the local Chamber of Commerce first.
